The Seattle Mariners have activated outfielder Jake Fraley from the 10-day IL and optioned infielder Eric Campbell back down to Triple-A Tacoma.
Fraley has missed nearly two months with the left hamstring strain that is unfortunately one of many lower body injuries he’s sustained through his big league career, and he returns to a more uncertain role than the clear starting spot he had in April. With both Mitch Haniger and Kyle Lewis healthy and performing well, and Jarred Kelenic arrived at last, Fraley will likely play frequently but not daily, helping the rotation of days of and DH spells feature less Donovan Walton in the outfield.
