SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today the Mariners have acquired right-handed pitcher Gregory Santos from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for right-handed pitcher Prelander Berroa, outfielder Zach DeLoach and a Competitive Balance Round B draft pick.
The Mariners Major League, 40-man roster is now at 39 players.
“Gregory is coming off of a season in which he established himself as one of the most exciting young relievers in MLB,” said Mariners President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto.
