SEATTLE, Wash. — Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Justin Hollander announced today that the Mariners have acquired right-handed pitcher Cody Bolton from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for cash considerations.
Bolton, 25, appeared in 16 games with the Pirates in 2023, going 1–0 with a 6.33 ERA (15 ER, 21.1 IP), 15 walks, 22 strikeouts and a 2.109 WHIP. He made his Major League debut on April 29 at Washington, tossing 2.0 scoreless innings. The 6-foot-2 right-hander had 7 separate stints in the Majors with Pittsburgh in 2023.
