The Mariners may or may not be done with their offseason. Jerry Dipoto has done what he set out to do at the start of the winter: vastly improving a bullpen that finished the season last in the majors in fWAR while also adding a potential rotation option in Chris Flexen. Dipoto has indicated that the infield would be settled internally, with Shed Long and Dylan Moore competing for reps at second and with Ty France figuring into the mix as well. Even so, a recent report from The Other Washington (via The Athletic’s Britt Ghiroli) should perk up his ears.
