I’ve been granted an incredible opportunity to travel to Managua, Nicaragua later this spring for a service trip. One of the organizations my group will work with during the trip is MIMA, a faith-based organization which serves at-risk youth in Managua. Part of their work is sponsoring a baseball club.

While I’ve never been to Nicaragua and have not worked with MIMA in the past, I had a similar opportunity during my freshman year in the Dominican Republic. During the spring of 2016, I went on a service trip to Barahona, Dominican Republic and had the chance to play baseball with members of the I Love Baseball organization through Children of the Nations.
