There was never really a question which hat Ken Griffey Jr. would be wearing on his plaque in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Perhaps the more bigger dilemma is if that cap will be worn backward.
On Thursday afternoon at the annual Baseball Hall of Fame press conference in New York, Griffey confirmed what had long been expected – announcing he would go into the Hall of Fame as a member of the Mariners.
“I’m going to go into the weekend with a Seattle Mariners’ hat on,” he said.
Will he wear in the trademark backward style of his youth that kids emulated and the old guard rolled their eyes at?
