Mariners shortstop Jean Segura was elected by the fans to the 32nd and final roster spot on the American League All-Star Team through the 2018 Camping World MLB All-Star Final Vote ballot as announced this evening on MLB Network.
“I want to thank everyone who took the time to vote for me over the last couple of days,” Segura said. “The fans in the Northwest and in the Dominican Republic have been unbelievable. I also want to thank my family and all my teammates for their support. And I couldn’t have done this without the Mariners front office that rallied behind me and campaigned non-stop.
