Jake Fraley has quietly become one of the Mariners most highly-regarded prospects.
Fraley was one of 17 players acquired in nine trades made by Mariners General Manager Jerry Dipoto last offseason. He joined the Mariners along with Mallex Smith from Tampa Bay in exchange for Mike Zunino, Guillermo Heredia and a minor league pitcher, but Fraley was hardly a throw-in addition to the deal.
He’s the club’s u21168 prospect according to MLB Pipeline and u211612 in the Mariners organization according to Baseball America.
“Jake’s a five-tool guy,” Dipoto said.
