Since 1995, Seattle sports fans have gone up to Edgar Martinez to tell him where they were, who they were with and what they were doing during "the double."
"But really, the previous night I had a much better game," Martinez said in his usual humble tone.
Cramped in a King County Courthouse elevator, just moments after being honored by the county, he went on to explain:
"I had two home runs, so that was one of my best games," he said. A smirking elevator occupant chimed in with "I was hoping you'd mention that game.
