SEATTLE — Last weekend, the Seattle Mariners arrived home from the Midwest riding a six-game winning streak. This week, the club will leave for California trying to break up a six-game losing streak.
The Mariners lost each game of their six-game homestand, including dropping a 1-0 loss to the Cleveland Indians in their series finale Wednesday afternoon at T-Mobile Park.
It is the first time this season Seattle’s offense, which was electrifying the first two weeks of the season, has been shut out. The Mariners’ record-breaking streak of consecutive games with a home run to begin a season ended at 20.
