PEORIA, Ariz. -- First baseman Ryon Healy, one of the Mariners' main offseason acquisitions, had right hand surgery Wednesday to remove bone spurs and is expected to miss four to six weeks.
"He had an issue that came up early in the offseason when he first started working out and hitting," manager Scott Servais said Wednesday. "We thought it wasn't that big of a deal and we shut him down for a while. He felt it again after he came back after the time off. So we ramped it up and are taking some more serious tests.
