Sunday's Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Cooperstown, New York, was all about Mariners legend Ken Griffey Jr., who said he was "damn proud" to represent the club in the Hall.
In an emotional speech in which he took great lengths to recognize the contributions of his family -- notably his father, Ken Sr. -- Griffey reminisced about his career in Seattle, which he called "a big part of my life."
After being selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 1987 draft -- he admitted to not knowing where Seattle was ahead of the draft -- Griffey played with the Mariners through the 1999 season.
