SEATTLE -- The Mariners' struggling offense was missing its leadoff hitter for the second consecutive game on Sunday, as second baseman Dee Gordon continued to feel soreness after twisting his ankle in Thursday's 7-3 loss to the Blue Jays. Gordon played Friday night, going 0-for-4, before sitting out Saturday after it continued to bother him.
"I haven't talked to Dee yet. … I originally had him in the lineup, but he's not quite 100 percent yet," manager Scott Servais said Sunday. "He could be available late in the game, if we needed him -- defense, pinch run or whatever.
