Four-Run Inning Powers Mariners To Victory

PEORIA, Ariz. — The Mariners defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks by a 6–3 score in come-from-behind fashion today at Peoria Stadium. Seattle scored four runs in the seventh and two in the eighth to win its third consecutive contest.

Mariners starter Marco Gonzales was sharp in his final start of the spring, going 6.0 innings and allowing two earned runs on four hits, striking out five batters with no walks. Gonzales was part of a Seattle pitching effort that walked none and struck out 11, along with relievers Diego Castillo, Andrés Muñoz and Matt Festa.
