It’s been a weird, wild week in Mariners-land. Despite clinging to a winning record, the team’s offense has utterly cratered and Orioles pitcher John Means took one look at the lineup on Wednesday, licked his chops, and proceeded to throw a dominant no-hitter with 26 out of 27 batters seeing a first pitch strike. The minor leagues are finally back after nearly a year and a half layoff due to COVID-19. We can finally see film of guys we’ve only heard about as they play at the lower levels. The Everett AquaSox roster has perhaps the highest level of raw prospect talent concentration in organization history.
