Jones, who was born July 11, 1907, in Leahy, lives at the Fairwinds-Brittany Park retirement community in Woodinville, where she watches every Mariners game on Root Sports while wearing her Mariners gear. She also finds time for crossword puzzles, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
The previous record-holder was 105-year-old Agnes McKee, who threw out the first pitch at Petco Park on July 20 last year.
Jones graduated from high school in Brewster in 1925 before attending Cheney Normal School -- now Eastern Washington University. It was there she met Stanley Jones, her husband of 55 years. Stanley and Evelyn Jones raised two daughters.
