Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto hasn’t been in Seattle too much since being hired to replace to fill the vacant role previously held by Jack Zduriencik. After spending a 7-10 days in Seattle after the season, holding meetings and deciding to replace manager Lloyd McClendon, Dipoto has been traveling from Seattle to Southern California to take care of selling his house and getting ready to move while also visiting Arizona to observe the players in the Arizona Fall League.
But with the announcement of the hiring of Scott Servais as the Mariners’ manager this week, Dipoto was in town for more than a few days.
