OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) -- Escaped bees stung multiple people in the parking lot of an Oklahoma Walmart Saturday, forcing the store to close while officials worked to get the situation under control.
The Oklahoma City Fire Department and EMSA were called to the parking lot shortly after 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning for a report of bees on the loose.
A man selling his bees made an appointment with a buyer to transfer the bees in the parking lot, according to OKCFD Battalion Chief Benny Fulkerson.
During the transaction the three hives were disturbed and the bees got loose.
