Seattle Mariners right-handed pitcher Edwin Díaz has been named the Hartford Presents American League Reliever of the Month for April. It is the second such honor in his career (also: July 2017).

Díaz converted 11-of-11 save opportunities while posting a 0.63 ERA (1 ER, 14.1 IP) in 14 relief appearances in March/April. The 6-foot-3, 165-pound right-hander struck out 27 and walked 7 while limiting opposing batters to a .043 (2x46) average against. He averaged 16.95 strikeouts-per-9.0-innings-pitched (27 K, 14.1 IP).
