SURPRISE, Ariz. — The Seattle offense continued its torrid pace as the Mariners beat the Rangers by a score of 9–5 at Surprise Stadium this afternoon. Seattle’s offense has now scored 148 runs this spring, most in the Majors during 2024 spring training play.
J.P. Crawford sparked the Mariners offense in the top of the first inning with a leadoff double down the right field line. Crawford trotted home on an RBI single by Cal Raleigh, bringing a strong contingent of visiting Mariners fans to their feet. The Seattle faithful barely had a chance to take their seats as Dominic Canzone blasted a 2-run home run moments later to put the Mariners in front 3–0 in the opening frame.
