TACOMA — Dan Vogelbach delivered a two-run single in the ninth inning to give the Tacoma Rainiers a 7-6 walkoff victory over Albuquerque in Pacific Coast League baseball Saturday.
The Rainiers (63-44) trailed 6-2 after the Isotopes (46-60) used five singles and a walk to score four runs in the fifth inning.
Tacoma cut that down to a 6-5 deficit in the seventh thanks in part to a two-run single by Stefen Romero.
Tacoma pinch-hitter Darlo Pizzano singled to open the ninth and Daniel Robertson walked. After a sacrifice and an intentional walk, Vogelbach hit the winner to right field.
