PHOENIX (AP) -- The Arizona Diamondbacks have activated third baseman Jake Lamb from the 15-day disabled list and designated backup catcher Jordan Pacheco for assignment.
Lamb, the starter at third when the season began, has been sidelined with a left foot stress reaction since the injury since April 19. Yasmany Tomas has been getting most of the playing time at the position but is expected to play more in the outfield now that Arizona has traded right fielder Mark Trumbo to Seattle.
Lamb was hitting .414 with three doubles, a triple and a home run in the 10 games he played before he was hurt.
