After a disheartening shutout last night against the Rangers, the M’s look to get back on track tonight when they send Taijuan Walker to the mound. My thoughts on the lineup and other notes follow below:
1. As stated by Erickson, the biggest note on the lineup is that Nelson Cruz and Franklin Gutierrez are not playing again. Hopefully each is available to pinch hit if needed. The M’s need both moving forward this season. They need Cruz 100 percent for 2016, and I’d like to see Guti back again as well.
2. Shawn O’Malley shows his versatility again by playing CF.
