On May 24, 1995 against the Red Sox at the Kingdome, Mike Blowers became only the 2nd player in Mariners club history to record 8 RBI in a game. He also became the first Mariner ever to record 4 extra-base hits in a game. Blowers ended up 4-for-5 with 2 runs scored, 2 doubles, a triple, a home run and 8 RBI in the Mariners 15–6 win over the Red Sox.
He joined Mr. Mariner Alvin Davis, who was the first Mariner with 8 RBI on May 9, 1986 vs. the Blue Jays. Mike Cameron later became the third member of the Mariners 8-RBI club on August 19, 2001 at the Yankees.
