Griffey played the first 11 seasons of his Hall of Fame career in Seattle before being traded to Cincinnati in 2000. Junior returned to the Mariners for the final two seasons of his historic career in 2009 and 2010.
Griffey went 2-for-3 with a walk, but the Mariners came away with the victory, 8–1.
The Reds took an early 1–0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning, but the Mariners answered right back.
