The Mariners and Angels played a wild, back-and-forth game on May 5, 2018 at T-Mobile Park. The Halos held a 4–2 advantage going into the bottom of the 8th inning, but the final three-and-a-half innings saw four lead changes, with the Mariners coming away victorious.
The Mariners eventually won, 9–8 in 11 innings, despite trailing in the 7th, 10th and 11th innings. Seattle became the first team to allow runs in the 9th, 10th and 11th innings and still win since the Mariners also accomplished this feat on April 3, 2003 at Oakland.
Ryon Healy played a central role in the game, going 3-for-6 with a double and 2 RBI.
