Félix Hernández worked his 10th career shutout against the Minnesota Twins on April 24, 2015 at T-Mobile Park.
Hernández’s 10th career shutout moved him into 2nd place all-time in club history, breaking a tie with Mark Langston and Mike Moore, who each tossed 9 shutouts in their respective Mariners careers. Félix’s 11 career shutouts as a Mariner trail only Randy Johnson’s club record of 19.
Hernández limited a Twins lineup that included Torii Hunter, Joe Mauer and Brian Dozier to only five singles and did not walk a batter while striking out 9.
After the game, Twins manager Paul Molitor explained the challenges of facing Félix.
