OAKLAND -- Robinson Cano, Nelson Cruz and Ryon Healy all homered in the fourth inning on Friday night as the Mariners overcame an early deficit against the A's in a critical American League West battle at the Coliseum.
Seattle trailed, 5-1, before going to work with the long ball in the fourth on Oakland starter Mike Fiers. Cano and Cruz went back-to-back leading off the frame and Healy tied the game with a two-run shot before Fiers recorded an out in the inning.
Cano's blast was his second in 15 games since returning from an 80-game suspension as he turned around a 91-mph fastball and put it into the right-field seats.
