The first two offseasons under the current Seattle Mariners brain trust of general manager Jerry Dipoto and manager Scott Servais were marked by the frenetic pace of movement, but don't expect the same this winter.
"I don't think you're going to see frantic moves," Dipoto said on Tuesday during an end-of-season press conference.
In 2015, Dipoto retooled the roster around a core of ace Felix Hernandez, second baseman Robinson Cano, designated hitter Nelson Cruz and third baseman Kyle Seager, bringing in veterans like catcher Chris Ianetta, first baseman Adam Lind, outfielders Nori Aoki and Leonys Matin, starting pitchers Nathan Karns and Wade Miley and relievers Steve Cishek and Joaquin Benoit, in addition to several others.
