Big weeks for two teenagers, Kyle Lewis heating up

It was a big week for a prospect who’s among the most popular with Mariners fans. Yes, Kyle Lewis is finding his footing and then some in 2019.

But on top of that, we have strong performances from a few players many may not have heard about before—including a couple teenagers getting their first taste of their respective levels.

Taken with the 11th overall pick in the 2016 MLB Draft—Jerry Dipoto’s first with the Mariners—Kyle Lewis is a player many Mariners fans have kept an eye on.

After a knee injury in 2016 and subsequent physical setbacks impacted his development, he’s finally getting his first shot at a real, full season—complete with a spring training—here in 2019.
