Another hit: Mitch Haniger leaves game after hit-by-pitch. Mariners lead the majors in that stat | The News Tribune

Mitch Haniger took a 91-mph sinker off of his left wrist in the fourth inning.

That was the 29th time a Seattle Mariners batter has been hit by a pitch this season.

An inning later Haniger wasn’t in the game.

No Dee Gordon (fractured right toe), no Robinson Cano (fractured finger and 80-game drug suspension), no Nelson Cruz (elbow contusion) … now Haniger.
