An ex-Seattle Mariner is arrested for stealing from his ex-wife, but that’s not the coldest thing he did

Russell Branyan, who last played in 2011, allegedly broke into his ex-wife’s home and took some things, but he said he wants to give them back now.

Russell Branyan — 11 for 11 in his last eight big-league seasons — finally got caught stealing.

The ex-Mariner slugger was arrested in Nashville, Tenn., for allegedly breaking into his ex-wife’s home and taking items while she was asleep. He also turned the thermostat way down, just for good measure.

The arrest warrant said Branyan, who last played in 2011, admitted his guilt and wanted to return the items.
