Amid sustained woes, Beimel not feeling right

ARLINGTON -- Joe Beimel has been around long enough to know when something's wrong. And the 38-year-old Mariners reliever acknowledged after allowing three consecutive home runs to the Rangers in Wednesday's 7-2 loss that his left arm isn't right.

Beimel, who got rocked for home runs by Mitch Moreland, Mike Napoli and Elvis Andrus in the bottom of the seventh inning. has given up five long balls in his last 1 2/3 innings over five appearances.

With fellow lefty Charlie Furbush on the disabled list, veteran Mark Lowe traded to Toronto on July 31 and several other relievers struggling, the Mariners leaned on Beimel more heavily than they wanted in recent weeks.
