Mariners 3rd base coach Manny Acta has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Brooks Robinson Community Service Award, the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association announced yesterday. Acta will be honored at the 17th Annual Legends for Youth Dinner on November 15 in New York City.
The Brooks Robinson Community Service Award is presented annually by the Alumni Association to the current or former Major Leaguer who exemplifies the unselfish and humble attitude of Brooks Robinson through youth-oriented community service.
