Taijuan Walker, who was slated to start yesterday’s game and likely would have been pushed to today, has been traded to the Blue Jays. Ljay Newsome will fill in today and get his first MLB start after making his debut in relief one week ago. Newsome, for those unaware, was a 26th round pick by the Mariners in 2015 and a staff favorite ‘round these parts.
