While losing a winnable game last night against the Astros was a bummer, splitting a two-game set was just fine. The M’s march on to Tampa and the dome of Tropicana Field, with Mike Leake squaring off against a Ryne Stanek/Austin Pruitt tandem.
Leake has pitched quite well lately, walking just one batter in his last five starts and inducing ground balls at a 56.6% clip in that span. Jake Bauers is making his big league debut for the Rays, resulting in the DFA of one Brad Miller.
