Although a palindromic record of 42-24 is pretty to look at, the Mariners look to improve upon it tonight and secure a series win against the Angels. Mike Leake takes the hill, hoping to add on to a string of excellent starts in the last few weeks.
The Angels are starting 21-year-old Jaime Barría, who’s started his big league career on the right track. Although his velocity isn’t overpowering, and is averaging right around five innings a start, Barría has put up a solid if unspectacular 3.87 FIP in his first 36.1 big league innings.
