The Seattle Mariners have underachieved all season long, but that doesn't mean that they are willing to approach the MLB Trade Deadline like traditional sellers.
Per Joel Sherman of the New York Post:
3 strong starts in row by Iwakuma makes him interesting name in SP mkt. but execs say #Mariners GM Jack Z hesitant to sell

The New York Yankees are one team rumored to be a potential fit for Iwakuma, but that's still going to be contingent on just how the Mariners view themselves and their partnership with Iwakuma going forward. He is a free agent after this year, so that could factor into Seattle's thinking if the Mariners continue to fade in the next week.
Iwakuma has been struggling with injuries all year, both a finger problem and a strained lat muscle that cost him around 2 months. He is currently 2-1 with a 4.50 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in seven stars this year.
