In today's Mariners trade rumors and news update, the Seattle Mariners' search for an impact right-handed bat may end up with them landing Colorado Rockies center fielder Drew Stubbs.
According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports 1, the Mariners could have a bit of a struggle trying to pry him away from Colorado:
Sources: Mariners have asked Rockies about CF Drew Stubbs, but Colorado unsure if they're going to move him. Righty bat, having career year.

However, if they can, Morosi believes that Stubbs' skill set would be of great use to the Mariners:
Drew Stubbs is a good fit for Mariners. Even after the Morales move, Seattle is left-handed dominant. Stubbs a very versatile defender.

In just 258 plate appearances this season, Stubbs is hitting .297/.335/.498 with all three of those numbers standing as the best of his six-year MLB career. Couple that with ten home runs (one HR every 23.9 at-bats) and you have a potentially major upgrade for the M's - provided that Colorado is willing to play ball.
