SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The Santa Clara women's water polo team, after playing 12 games on the road, returned to Sullivan Aquatic Center on Saturday to host CSU Monterey Bay and No. 19 Hartwick. The Broncos ended the day with two wins, beating CSU Monterey Bay 13-4 and pulling out a close win over Hartwick 11-9.
The victory over Hartwick is Santa Clara's first win over a ranked team this season.
Elizabeth Anderson's two goals in the first quarter helped the Broncos jump out to a 5-3 lead at the end of the first quarter.
