FRESNO, Calif. – Elizabeth Anderson scored two goals, including the go-ahead tally, to help lead Santa Clara women's water polo to a key Golden Coast Conference road victory against Fresno Pacific Thursday.
Anderson snapped a 1-all tie on a penalty shot goal with 4:33 left in the second quarter and the Broncos (10-13, 3-3) scored four of the next five goals against the Sunbirds (9-15, 1-6), who concluded their regular season.
Hannah Buck's 5-meter goal with less than 2 minutes left in the first half increased the Santa Clara lead to 3-1 and Erin Sheridan scored with 22 seconds gone in the third quarter to make it 4-1.
