SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis lost to No. 38 San Diego, 4-2 on Sunday in a West Coast Conference matchup with sophomores Elvena Gevargiz and Katya Tabachnik each earning singles wins for SCU.
San Diego (14-2, 5-0 WCC) picked up the double point when matches on courts two and three ended simultaneously with the same score of 6-2. On court two, Daniela Morales and Maria Tyrina beat the Bronco tandem of Katya Tabachnik and Caitlyn Frankel and on court three, Gemma Garcia and Sophia Chow downed Jamie Schroer and Nadine Del Carmen.
