Women’s Tennis Falls to Pacific, 4-2 on Saturday

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's tennis fell to Pacific, 4-2 on Saturday in a West Coast Conference match at the Degheri Tennis Center.

Pacific (4-6, 1-0 WCC) won its conference opener reeling off three straight singles wins after being down 2-1 in the team score. Maya Lopez got the match clincher on court five over Caitlyn Frankel, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3.

After dropping the doubles point, Santa Clara (3-7, 0-3 WCC) picked up two singles wins by Maddie Pothoff and Jamie Schroer who won both its matches by the same score of 6-1, 6-1.
