SANTA CLARA, Calif. – In fluctuating weather, the Santa Clara women's tennis team defeated George Washington University 6-1 to keep their home record untarnished (4-0).
"It was a good, solid performance from us," said head coach Ben Cabell. "They're a very good team and it's always tough for us to play in between dead week and finals week. There's always a lot going on, so I was proud the way they focused and came out ready to go. It's just always a difficult week to play."
The singles matches played out first, with five of the six resulting in a Broncos' victory.
