HONOLULU – Santa Clara women's tennis beat Hawaii Pacific, 4-2 on Wednesday at the University of Hawaii Tennis Complex in a nonconference match.
The Broncos (4-8) picked up the doubles point and finished the match with three consecutive singles wins to close out the match to secure the victory against Division II's No. 5-ranked Sharks (8-4).
Maddie Pothoff and Elvena Gevargiz secured the doubles point with a 6-4 triumph over Elodie Busson and Elisa Elhadj on court one.
Santa Clara fell behind 2-1 in the team score dropping the singles matches on courts five and two before reeling off three straight wins.
