CARY, N.C. – An hour and a half weather delay to the start of the match due to couldn't slow down Santa Clara women's soccer in the NCAA Tournament as the 11th-seeded Broncos beat sixth-seeded Arkansas 2-0 to move on the 16th national quarterfinals in program history. The last trip to the round of eight was 2016.
Santa Clara (9-1) was able to handle the pressure of the Razorbacks (12-4) and kept putting pressure on the Arkansas backline before breaking through in the first half with a goal from Izzy D'Aquila and again in the second half with a goal from Skylar Smith.
