STATE COLLEGE, Penn. – Santa Clara women's golf scored its best round of the 54-hole Nittany Lion Invitational with a final-round 296, ending the event in seventh-place among the 16-team field with a 903 (+39) total.
Following their first-round 310, which left them in 11th place, the Broncos responded with a second-round 297 to climb four spots up the leaderboad into seventh. Today's 296 gave them separation from the teams below them, however they couldn't climb further finishing 9-strokes out of a top-5 finish.
"Our ball-striking was very good in the second and third rounds," head coach Krystal Kelly noted.
