TACOMA, Wash. - Impressive performances by Claire Choi and Borina Sutikto on the opening day of the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational have Santa Clara women's golf within striking distance for the team title.
Choi is tied for third after firing a 1-over-par 145 (74-71) and Sutikto is tied for fifth at 2-over 146 (68-77) for the Broncos who are in second after carding a 15-over total of 591 (297-294) on Monday in an event taking place on the par-71 Tacoma Golf & Country Club course.
Host Seattle leads the field at 6-over 582 (287-295) and Utah Valley is third with a total of 18-over 594 (294-300) in the 20-team field.
