The Santa Clara University women's basketball team closed out non-conference play Tuesday with its fourth win in a row and fourth consecutive over its South Bay rival, as it downed San Jose State by more than 30, 81-49, at Leavey Center.
The Broncos (9-4) turned in their fifth-largest win in the last 35 years over their rival Spartans (1-8), beating them by 32 in what was their final non-conference game before opening West Coast Conference play on Saturday. The Broncos have beaten the Spartans in four straight meetings now dating to the 2018-19 season.
