SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Julia Sangiacomo had 17 kills and Sophia Tulino added 14 to help Santa Clara volleyball outlast San Francisco 26-24, 25-21, 25-21 on Thursday in a West Coast Conference contest.
McKenna Marshall posted 15 kills and Orsula Staka chipped in 7 on a .538 attack percentage for the Dons (7-10, 7-10) who were held to a .159 attack percentage in the sweep.
The Broncos, who have won four of their last five at home, posted a .228 attack percentage, including a .257 mark in the final set.
Santa Clara (5-8, 5-8) scored the first five points in the third set, two on kills from Sangiacomo, and pulled ahead 19-10 on a San Francisco attack error.
